The proposed deal included the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners over three phases.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that a "last-minute crisis" with Hamas has delayed Israel's Cabinet vote to approve the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which Israel and Hamas had reportedly finalised on January 15th. While US President Joe Biden and Qatar confirmed the agreement, Netanyahu blamed Hamas' alleged backtracking for the delay.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza since the morning have claimed at least 72 lives.
The proposed deal included the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners, with humanitarian aid flowing into Gaza over three phases.
