New Hotline 19588 Will Receive Complaints on Inflated Commodity Prices

The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade is launching a new hotline to accommodate and receive civilian complaints about inaccurate and inflated commodity prices.

Anyone calling the hotline 19588, or sending a message over WhatsApp at 01577779999, will have their complaints addressed by the Consumer Protection Agency.

The new hotline is set to address inflated prices and retailer monopoly practices, especially in the case of essential commodities such as meat, chicken, and vegetables which are supplied by the ministry at reduced prices for ration card holders. Affordable alternatives are available through authorized consumer complexes to curb rising prices and accommodate the demand for essential commodities.
