Over 200 Golden Visas Awarded to Educators in Dubai

Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, a total of 223 educators across early childhood centres, schools, and universities have been awarded the UAE’s Golden Visa.

The recognition forms part of a wider initiative first announced by Sheikh Hamdan on World Teachers’ Day in 2024, designed to honour the pivotal role educators play in shaping Dubai’s knowledge-driven society.

The selection committee—overseeing the initiative through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA)—chose 223 recipients from 435 applications, representing 51% of the total submissions in the first round. Of these, 157 Golden Visas were granted to school staff, 60 to university faculty and administrators, and six to educators in early childhood centres.

The assessment process was comprehensive and merit-based, evaluating candidates on professional qualifications, career achievements, community impact, and positive feedback from students, parents, and peers. The evaluation excluded demographic factors such as nationality, gender, or years of experience, ensuring an equitable approach.

Applications for the second round of the Golden Visa programme will be open from October 15th to December 15th, 2025, and are available to educators working across Dubai’s private early childhood centres, schools, and international higher education institutions.
