Over 30 World Leaders to Attend World Governments Summit in Dubai
A major feature of this year’s summit is the TIME 100 AI gathering, where 100 leading experts will discuss emerging tech.
The World Governments Summit 2025 will be held in Dubai from February 11th to the 13th, bringing together more than 30 heads of state and government, over 400 ministers, and thousands of industry leaders, experts and policymakers. More than 80 international, regional, and intergovernmental organizations will participate, with confirmed attendees including the presidents of Indonesia, Poland, Sri Lanka and Colombia, as well as the prime ministers of Kuwait, Armenia, Pakistan, Kenya, Libya, Georgia and Bangladesh.
The summit will feature 32 high-level ministerial meetings focusing on governance, economic growth, sustainability, technology and global health. Representatives from 27 international organisations, including the World Economic Forum, the International Monetary Fund, the International Energy Agency, UNESCO, the Arab League, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, will take part in discussions covering government transparency, climate resilience, and healthcare preparedness. The role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology will also be analysed, with an emphasis on both opportunities and potential risks.

The private sector will also have a strong presence, with executives from major companies such as Google, Alibaba, Oracle, MasterCard, CNN, IBM, HP, SAP, Dow Jones, AstraZeneca, Baidu, The Economist and Vodafone joining discussions on technology, finance, energy and media.
Five awards recognising excellence in governance will be presented, including the Best Minister in the World and Best Teacher in the World. Additionally, the UAE has been designated as the permanent headquarters for BRICS, which will oversee logistics operations.
