Qalyubia Governorate Takes On New Plan to Become Major Tourist Hotspot

Engineer Ayman Attia, the governor of Qalyubia, has announced plans to transform the governorate into a prominent local and international tourist destination. Leveraging its rich historical heritage and archaeological sites, the governorate aims to carve out a place on Egypt's tourism map.
One of the key focal points of the plan is the development of the Atrib archaeological area in Banha, known for its Greek and Roman ruins, including baths dating back to the 26th Dynasty. The transformation will include the removal of grass, leveling of the ground, the installation of green spaces and beautification work.
The Atrib area will be placed on both domestic and international tourism agendas, with plans to showcase the historical significance of the region and attract visitors to its newly developed facilities.
