RTA Auctions 300 Exclusive Licence Plates for Private & Vintage Cars

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the auction of 300 exclusive licence plates for private and vintage vehicles, as well as motorcycles, in its 78th e-Auction.

The selection includes two, three, four, and five-digit plates across multiple codes, including A to Z, and code (2) for motorcycles. Registration for the auction opens on February 9th and will remain available for five days. The e-auction itself is set to begin on February 17th.

To participate, bidders must have a valid traffic file in Dubai and provide a security deposit cheque of AED 5,000 payable to RTA, along with a non-refundable subscription fee of AED 120. Payments can be processed at RTA Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or online through the RTA’s official website.

A 5% VAT applies to all purchases. Successful bidders must settle their payments within 10 working days after the auction concludes, either in cash or via credit card at service provider centres or RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres.
