Rain Drainage Equipment Deployed Across Egypt in Light of Rainfall
This follows forecasts from the Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicting rainfall from November 24th through the 29th.
In anticipation of expected rainfall, Cairo and Giza wastewater companies have deployed equipment across main roads, critical points, and near tunnels to tackle any potential rainwater accumulation. This precautionary action follows forecasts from the Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicting rainfall and inauspicious weather conditions starting November 24th through the 29th.
The Holding Company for Water and Wastewater announced that all affiliated companies nationwide are in a state high-alert. A central operations room has been established for real-time monitoring and coordination with relevant authorities.
In Giza, the Water and Wastewater Company deployed over 80 units to various locations to deal with any water pooling that might occur. Approximately 120 units have been stationed throughout Cairo.
