Rapid Antigen Tests & Molnupiravir to Be Sold in Hospital Pharmacies
The decision was made after the Ministry of Health and Population approved Molnupiravir for emergency cases, as the drug has reportedly been able to cut hospitalisation and deaths by 30%.
Rapid antigen tests and Molnupiravir, an oral pill to medicate against COVID-19 by American pharmaceutical company Merck, will be released in public hospital pharmacies. The decision was made after the Ministry of Health and Population approved Molnupiravir for emergency cases amongst high-risk patients, as the drug has reportedly been able to cut hospitalisation and deaths by 30%.
The Ministry of Health and Population has also extended the period in which citizens can take the booster dose against COVID-19. Citizens now have an additional two months after they receive their confirmation message from the Ministry of Health and Population in order to take their booster shot.
