The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has successfully secured Riyadh as the host city for the UN World Data Forum 2026. This decision, made through a majority vote after a review of competing proposals, reflects the Kingdom's growing influence in the field of data and statistics.
The UN World Data Forum will bring together participants from international organizations, along with representatives from the statistical offices of the UN's 193 member states. The forum aims to drive data innovation, foster collaborative partnerships, and galvanize both political and financial support at the highest levels to enhance global statistical systems while promoting sustainable development.
