Saudi Arabia Secures Bid to Host 6th UN World Data Forum in Riyadh in

Saudi Arabia has been announced as the host of the sixth UN World Data Forum, set to take place in Riyadh in 2026. The decision was revealed at the conclusion of the fifth edition of the summit in Medellín, Colombia attended by representatives from all 193 member countries.
The Kingdom’s bid received endorsement from the High-Level Group for Partnership, Coordination, and Capacity-Building in Statistics (HLG-PCCB), recognizing Saudi Arabia’s progress in leveraging data to support sustainable development.
The UN World Data Forum is a leading global platform, attracting over 20,000 participants from governments, national statistical offices, international organisations, academia, civil society and the private sector. It addresses global data challenges, fosters collaboration, and emphasises the role of data in shaping effective policies and initiatives.
