Riyadh’s King Abdulaziz Centre Exhibits Rare Copies of the Quran

An exhibition of rare copies of the Quran has been opened at the King Abdulaziz Centre in Riyadh, showcasing the diversity and detail of Islamic calligraphy and embellishment. All 42 copies of the holy text on display are from the distinguished collection of the King Abdulaziz Public Library, which has organised the exhibition to give the public an idea of the different schools of embellishment of the Holy Quran.

The exhibition is part of the library’s cultural programme, which organises thematic events on national, religious and cultural occasions both within and outside the Kingdom. The library has been showcasing Islamic and Arab heritage through photos, miniatures and manuscripts for over 40 years.
