SODIC Raises Awareness About Food Waste With New Ramadan Campaign
With 14.4% of Egypt food insecure, SODIC is releasing an awareness campaign with Sherine Arafa.
How much food do you eat? Whether we're watching our weight or making sure our nutritional needs are met, we're practically obsessed with not just fulfilling but perfecting this necessity. But perhaps the real question should be... how much food do you waste?
Real estate developer SODIC is helping us answer this most overlooked question, and confront the implications found therein. With 14.4% of Egypt's population considered food insecure, SODIC has put together a campaign to help raise awareness of food waste. The campaign - a limited reality edutainment series hosted by digital content creator Sherine Arafa - will walk us through how we can best act against food waste, and how to best ensure the food we'd otherwise throw away goes to where it's most needed.
And to help us get a head start on mindfulness, SODIC has teamed up with Egyptian Food Bank to put out a food waste calculator that will help you budget your food as efficiently as possible. Check it out by visiting fwcalculator.sodic.com.
