Saudi Arabia Expands Data & AI Studies at US Universities

The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has opened new opportunities for students to pursue data and artificial-intelligence disciplines at leading international universities. The scholarship pathway covers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies, and includes placements at the top 40 universities in the United States, among them Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

SDAIA describes the AI Scholarship Program as a step that strengthens the Kingdom’s strategic relationship with the United States, particularly in human-capital development. Major American technology companies — including NVIDIA, Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft — have participated in training and talent-building programmes for Saudi nationals, reflecting international engagement in the sector.

The scholarship track will also provide support services for recipients, including mentorship workshops, research-group formation and an association for students in the programme. These components are intended to improve research output, connect students with established experts, and contribute to the technical solutions currently being developed through SDAIA and its partners.
