The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia saw 30 million international visitors in 2024, nearly 9% more than the 27.5 million recorded in 2023, according to Emirates NBD Research.
The Ministry of Tourism aims to attract 70 million visitors per year by 2030. To reach that target, the country continues to invest in large scale events, including concerts, global sports tournaments, and cultural festivals by positioning them as key draws for tourists.
Additionally, the Minister of Tourism looks to establish 675,000 hotel rooms by 2030, with 120,000 planned for Riyadh alone. Currently, 475,000 licensed hotel rooms are spread across 4,000 hotels, reflecting progress in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.
