Saudi Arabia to Lead Global Audit Body INTOSAI From 2031
Saudi Arabia has been elected to head INTOSAI—the world’s top public-audit body—from 2031, reinforcing its global standing in financial oversight and performance auditing.
Saudi Arabia has been elected to preside over the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) beginning in 2031 for a three-year term following a vote at the 25th General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh, according to an announcement by the organisation’s general assembly.
The Kingdom will assume leadership through its General Court of Audit (GCA), hosting delegates from more than 195 countries as it takes charge of the world’s largest and oldest international organisation for public financial and performance auditing.
Founded over 70 years ago, INTOSAI brings together supreme audit institutions from more than 195 countries, promoting transparency, good governance, and improved quality of life through accountability in public-sector spending. Its presidency represents the highest level of leadership in global public auditing and financial oversight.
