The project is also expected to provide more than 34,000 jobs by that same year.

Saudi Arabia’s Architecture Characters Map, which features 19 distinct architectural models reflecting the Kingdom’s diverse cultural and geographical identity, is expected to contribute SAR 8 billion (USD 2.13 billion) to the GDP by 2030. The initiative is also projected to create over 34,000 jobs across engineering, construction, and urban development sectors.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted that the development of Saudi architectural identity plays a crucial role in fostering indirect economic growth. By enhancing the architectural appeal of Saudi cities, the initiative aims to attract more visitors and investors, positioning the Kingdom as a regional and global hub for sustainable urban development.
The Architecture Characters Map is part of Saudi Vision 2030, a national strategy focused on economic diversification and cultural preservation. The project seeks to integrate heritage-driven design principles into modern construction, ensuring Saudi cities reflect their historical and regional identities while promoting sustainable urban expansion.
