Saudi Cinema Ticket Revenues Surpass SAR 845 Million in 2024
According to the Saudi Box Office, a total of 17.5 million cinema tickets were sold in 2024, with an average ticket price of SAR 48.2.

Saudi Arabia’s cinema sector generated approximately SAR 845.6 million in ticket revenues during 2024, according to the latest Saudi Box Office Report issued by the Film Commission. The report states that 17.5 million tickets were sold throughout the year, with an average ticket price of SAR 48.2.
A total of 504 films were screened across the Kingdom’s cinemas, including 18 locally produced Saudi films. These domestic titles accounted for 1.4 million ticket sales, generating around SAR 5.6 million in revenue.
The report also highlights continued growth in the cinema industry, with 64 cinemas now operating across 10 regions, amounting to 630 screens nationwide. This expansion has contributed to the creation of approximately 5,000 new jobs in 2024.
Looking ahead, the Saudi Film Commission has announced plans to launch new initiatives in 2025. These include funding programmes to support local film production, expanding both local and international film festivals, and establishing partnerships with global distributors to bring exclusive screenings to Saudi cinemas.
