The authority has allocated 3,500 buses for transporting pilgrims operating on 16 routes, with 11 designated stops and stations.
Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority has prepared a fleet of over 27,000 buses to facilitate transportation during this year's Hajj pilgrimage. The authority has allocated more than 3,500 buses specifically for transporting pilgrims to and from the Grand Mosque, operating on 16 routes with 11 designated stops and stations. In addition to the buses serving Makkah and Madinah, the authority has implemented strict guidelines to ensure a comfortable travel experience. Passengers are required to adhere to regulations prohibiting smoking, eating in unauthorized areas, and engaging in loud phone conversations that may disturb others during transport. The authority has instituted a policy to compensate passengers in the event of bus delays exceeding one hour on journeys lasting more than three hours. Affected passengers will receive complimentary meals and refreshments, along with information on how to file complaints or seek further assistance.
