Schools in Cairo & Giza Suspend Classes March 29th Due to Bad Weather
Officials confirmed that the suspension applies to all public and private schools.
Schools across Cairo and Giza have been suspended today, Sunday March 29th, following a decision by local authorities in both governorates in response to heavy rainfall worsening weather conditions.
The move comes as Egypt continues to experience a wave of unstable weather, starting Wednesday March 25th, including heavy rainfall, strong winds and dust, which have impacted visibility and road safety across several governorates.
Officials confirmed that the suspension applies to all public and private schools, as well as Al-Azhar institutes, with the aim of ensuring student safety and minimizing risks amid the severe conditions.
The decision also allows emergency and municipal teams to better navigate streets and respond to weather-related incidents without congestion from school traffic.
