Sharjah Retirees to Receive AED 17,500 Monthly Income
The grant will be distributed retrospectively and is calculated the date the application is submitted.
HH Sheik Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Leader of Sharjah, has issued a decree that ensures low-income retirees in Sharjah have a minimum monthly income of AED 17,500. The grant will bridge the gap between a retiree’s total monthly income and this specified minimum.
The grant will be distributed retrospectively and is calculated the date the application is submitted. Retirees with a family registry in the emirate of Sharjah are eligible to apply on the condition that they do not receive any additional salaries, bonuses or pensions exceeding this amount.
The Department of Human Resources in Sharjah will manage applications and will prepare lists of eligible retirees, whilst the Sharjah Social Security fund will be responsible for the monthly distribution of the grant.
