Sheikh Hamdan Appointed as Deputy Prime Minister & Defence Minister
The Sheikh has been newly appointed as both Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the nation.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum would be the new Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. Sheikh Hamdan was also appointed as the Minister of Defence of the nation.
The decision came as part of a series of new cabinet appointments; it was announced that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan was also appointed as the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister, besides maintaining his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
