Shop Closing Hours Extended to 11 PM During Coptic Holidays
Extended hours will apply to shops, malls and restaurants from April 10th to 13th.
Closing hours for shops, shopping centres and restaurants across Egypt will be extended to 11 PM from April 10th to April 13th, 2026, during the Coptic holidays.
The decision was approved by the Cabinet during its weekly meeting chaired by Mostafa Madbouly, following a recommendation from the Central Committee for Crisis Management.
The temporary measure applies to public-facing venues, including retail shops, malls and food and beverage outlets, allowing them to operate two hours later than the usual 9 PM closing time over the four-day period.
Authorities said the adjustment is limited to the specified dates, after which regular operating hours will resume.
