The Coptic Orthodox Church Sends 12 Tons of Food and Medical Supplies to Lebanon
The Coptic Orthodox Church has sent 12 tons of medical supplies and food to support Beirut in its recovery after the devastating port explosion earlier in August.
The Coptic Orthodox Church's Pope Tawadros II has sent an aid shipment containing 12 tons of food and medical supplies to Lebanon in an act of solidarity and support, following the devastating explosion at Beirut’s port on August 4th, 2020. The shipment was sent through the Middle East Council of Churches on an Egyptian military aircraft. which landed at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport.
This follows Egypt's dispatching of 21 medical professors– specialized in general surgery, orthopedics, urology and more – to the Lebanese capital last week to help with its recovery.
