UAE Reaches 67 Medals by Day Three of Gulf Swimming Championships

The UAE swimming team raised its overall medal tally to 67 by the end of the third day of the 30th Gulf Swimming Championships, currently underway at the Olympic pool in Mohammed Bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi. The regional competition brings together around 200 swimmers representing six Gulf countries.
In the women’s events, the Emirati team accumulated 34 medals across the first three days of competition. This included 21 gold, 11 silver and two bronze medals, placing the UAE women ahead of Bahrain and Kuwait in the overall women’s standings at this stage of the championship.
The men’s team added a further 33 medals, consisting of 15 gold, nine silver and nine bronze. The men’s races feature competitors from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, with the UAE’s results contributing to the hosts’ combined total as the event progresses. According to updated standings in the men’s category, Kuwait currently leads with 54 medals, followed by Saudi Arabia with 50, the UAE with 33, Qatar with 30, Bahrain with 22 and Oman with 10. Medal counts remain subject to change as competition continues in the remaining days of the championship.
