UAE Residency Renewal Medical Screening Now Available at Home

Expatriate residents in the UAE can now complete the mandatory medical fitness screening required for residency visa renewal from home under a new service introduced by Emirates Health Services.
The ‘Residency Renewal from Home’ service allows applicants to book a home visit instead of travelling to a medical fitness centre, offering an alternative way to complete the required screening before renewing their residency visa.
Once an appointment is scheduled, a specialised medical team from preventive health centres visits the applicant’s residence to carry out the required screening in accordance with approved medical procedures and health standards. The examination is conducted under established quality and safety protocols and fulfils the medical requirements needed for residency renewal.
After the screening is completed, applicants receive their results electronically through text message or email. They can then proceed with their residency renewal through official channels without needing to visit a medical fitness centre or wait in person for results. According to Emirates Health Services, the service currently applies only to residency renewal cases and is intended to simplify procedures for residents, particularly those facing mobility constraints or time limitations.
