UAE’s First Autism Friendly Dental Clinic Opens in Dubai

The first autism-friendly dental clinic in the UAE has opened its doors in Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Autism Centre and Swiss oral health company Curaden.

The specialised dental facilities are designed to care for the oral needs of individuals with autism, combining dental technologies with a stress-free environment to alleviate any sensory overload.

The inclusive facilities use dimmed lighting, noise-cancelling headphones and soothing colours. The services include standard procedures such as check-ups, dental cleanings and cavity treatments, with special clinical training tailoring to a comfortable atmosphere. The clinic incorporates empathy and patience into its practices to care for and address any sensory sensitivities.
