World No. 1 squash player Nour El Sherbini has won the women's title at the British Open. It was an all-Egyptian final as El Sherbini clashed with World No. 2 Nouran Gohar, while Egypt's top seed Ali Farag experienced a narrow loss against New Zealand's Paul Coll for the men's title.
This is the fourth time that El Sherbini and Gohar matched racquets at a final this season, having most recently traded blows during the PSA World Championships in Chicago, where El Sherbini won her fifth World Championship title. This is the third time El Sherbini won the British Open overall. El Sherbini continues to enjoy over 40 consecutive months as World No. 1 in the PSA Women's World Ranking.
