You Can Now Call 112 to Contact All Emergency Services in Egypt
A new hotline will now centralise all public emergency services in Egypt.
By calling ‘112’, citizens will be able to address all types of emergencies efficiently and without confusion. Among the connected networks are police authorities, ambulances and firefighters, all working as part of the Unified National Network for Emergency and Public Safety.
The centralised hotline is expected to reduce emergency response times and will operate 24/7, even during national holidays. To further reduce response times, the ‘112’ hotline automatically detects the caller’s location and directs the needed services to them, with 2,187 sites and satellite-detected emergency responders working nationwide.
