Zawya Cinema to Screen ‘Banat Wust El Balad’ on Valentine’s Day
The early 2000s staple will return to the big screen for a special Valentine’s Day run.

To commemorate Valentine’s Day, Downtown Cairo’s Zaywa Cinema will be screening Mohamed Khan’s ‘Banat Wust El Balad’ (2005) on February 14th.
The film follows two young women in their 20s, Yasmine, who works in a lingerie shop, and her best friend Jomana, a hairstylist, as they navigate work, relationships, and the challenges of everyday life in Cairo. The film stars Menna Shalaby, Hind Sabry, Khaled Abou El Naga, Ahmed Rateb and Magda El Khatib.
Tickets will soon be available at the box office and online through the Elcinema website.
