eSIMs Officially Available in Egypt Starting December 5th
eSIMs are finally hitting the Egyptian market, and are now available for purchase at WE branches.
Following the completion of all necessary technical testing of eSIM technology by the four major telecommunication operators in Egypt - namely Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat and WE - eSIMs are now finally available for purchase in the country.
This development allows for a much more streamlined experience of telecommunication, as users no longer have to change physical SIM cards to switch services, allowing users to swap between networks to get their preferred prices and services. eSIMs also facilitate international roaming services.
Seeing as they’re more difficult to remove or tamper with, the use of eSIMs also adds an element of security against theft and unauthorised use over regular physical SIM cards.
eSIM can now be purchased at any of WE’s branches all over Egypt, at a price of EGP 330 for a new number and EGP 270 for eSIM replacement. Orange eSIMs meanwhile cost EGP 350 for a new number and EGP 300 for a replacement.
