Fati's Launches a Menu of Dagels - a Savoury Doughnut/Bagel Hybrid
They look like bagels, they're eaten in the same way we eat bagels, but they're actually made out of doughnuts.
Since it opened, doughnut shop Fati’s and its founder Fatma Youssef have slowly but surely become a nationwide favourite, one for flavour and the other for a different type of sweetness. Over the past few days, Youssef teased the release of an entirely novel product, and everyone went wild. The refresh rate on her Instagram page reached an all-time high until she finally made the announcement: Fati’s now makes savoury doughnuts.
It's easy to think that savoury doughnuts are just bagels; they consist of doughnut (and not bagel) dough, but instead of sprinkles (and, in Fati’s case, tahini and molasses), they come covered in sesame and panko. The dagels – an official hybrid name – are available at Fati’s U Venues branch in four flavours: Smoked Cut, Chicken Pesto Parm, Faticado and Turkey Bacon Club.
