JOE & THE JUICE Is Finally Opening Its First Store in Cairo’s Park St.

For years, JOE & THE JUICE has belonged to that particular category of places Egyptians encounter elsewhere and promptly begin wondering why they cannot have at home. The Copenhagen-born juice-and-coffee institution has followed its pink signs across cities, airports and shopping districts around the world. Cairo finally gets one of its own.

JOE & THE JUICE will open its first Egyptian location at Park St. West in Sheikh Zayed, marking the latest stop in a journey that began with a single Copenhagen store in 2002 and now stretches across more than 500 locations worldwide.

Calling it a juice bar has always been slightly inadequate. Juice is involved, obviously, as are coffee, shakes, sandwiches and the much-travelled Tunacado, but JOE has built its following around everything happening between the orders. Juicers are encouraged to have personalities rather than simply uniforms. People arrive for an iced matcha and somehow remain for the better part of an afternoon.

That formula now gets its Cairo translation. The Park St. West opening will introduce the full JOE repertoire, from its signature juices and shakes to coffee and food, alongside the music, movement and distinctly social atmosphere that have become part of its identity.

The store officially opens its doors to the public on October 2nd, with an event celebrating the occasion.

In a city already extraordinarily accomplished at turning a quick coffee into an entire afternoon, JOE & THE JUICE may find Cairo understands the assignment rather well.
