Sto Is the Ultimate Marassi Lunch Destination for Hungry Pool Fiends

The perfect day by the pool consists of three well-known elements: the pool in question (duh), a sparkly swimsuit that feeds your most prominent mermaid fantasies, and a snack. If we’re being honest, the ‘snack’ we’re talking about is far from a snack - it’s a whole meal. A whole Italian meal by new poolside pizzeria Sto. 

Sto is based in two branches in Marassi - both of which are situated by pools in the North Coast, Marassi’s Perla and Palma - where it crafts delicious pizza according to the Italian recipe. And that is what we call strategic planning. 

Picture this: you’re spending a long day at the pool with your friends, carefully rationing your time off to fit effortless sunbathing, catching up on your summer reading and conducting your own mini version of the Olympics swimming tournament with the band of poorly trained swimmers you’ve assembled. Naturally, by the end of the day (who are we kidding - by midday), you’re exhausted, famished, hungry to the point of deliriousness. 

It’s going to take too long to flip through your TikTok Saved for some influencer recommendation near you, and the concept of cooking something up at your chalet is enough to make you dizzy. It’s like there’s no way out. What EVER could you do? 

Just as you lose hope, you spot a bright red sign that says ‘Sto’, accompanied by the wafting smell of pizza and you’re, well, Sto-ked (sorry). So you drag your deflating floater and burning flip flops towards the scent, where you discover that Sto is a lot more than what you bargained for. 

In our humble opinion, Sto is an expert on the experience of lunch - particularly the tricky area of lunch after a day in the pool. Besides specialising in delicious woodfired pizza, the spot also offers an extensive pasta menu (Mediterranean seafood options included!), salads, sandwiches and tacos. Yep, tacos, which can be filled with grilled or fried chicken, grilled or fried shrimp, BBQ beef and… cheeseburgers. Listen, those post-pool munchies hit hard, okay?

Aside from their food menu, Sto pays particular attention to their drinks. They offer everything from multiple flavours of iced tea to mocktails to milkshakes - which can either accompany your high-carb meal, or serve as a poolside snack of their own. I mean, imagine a brownie milkshake by the pool. It sounds like a dream.
