This New Boba Spot in New Cairo is Not ‘Your Typical Gen Z Boba Spot.’

If you’ve been craving a break from your typical evening iced coffee run, Boba House in New Cairo offers quite the fun, pearly alternative. Tucked inside Lakehouse The Club and open every day from 4 PM to 4 AM, Boba House is not…“your typical Gen Z boba spot.”

While boba has often been associated with younger crowds, Mostafa Beshr—who co-founded the spot with Adel Afifi—has a different vision. “We aim to break the stereotype that boba is only for Gen Z. It’s for anyone seeking an enjoyable, refreshing alternative to their daily coffee,” Beshr tells SceneEats. True to their slogan, “warm welcomes, authentic sips,” Boba House aims to turn boba into your go-to drink

So, what’s on the menu? A selection that goes beyond the usual tapioca suspects. Whether it’s Boba House’s Tiger Brown Sugar boba or innovative seasonal specialties that bring a twist to regular sips - think boba lemonade in Pink, Kiwi, or Sour Green Apple - there’s something for every mood. “We wanted to offer more than just traditional milk tea,” Beshr says. “We spent time perfecting authentic recipes with Taiwanese baristas, and we import our Assam and Jasmine tea leaves to ensure that every drink is true to its roots.” Beshr adds.

For those craving something sweet on the side, Boba House's croffles are the perfect companion to your drink. And if you're in the mood for something trendy, the Matcha Coconut boba will do the trick. “Matcha has become incredibly popular,” Beshr explains. “It offers a unique energy boost that’s different from coffee—where coffee can make you jittery, matcha keeps you energized and calm. This aligns with the shift towards healthier, mindful drinking, and we wanted to reflect that in our menu.” Beshr shares with SceneEats.

With its minimalist décor—a calming mix of concrete, wood, and greenery—Boba House is the ideal place for a leisurely afternoon break or a late-night indulgence. “We wanted to create a serene atmosphere where people of all ages can enjoy our drinks.” Beshr notes.
