This Spot in New Cairo’s U Venues is All About Extraterrestrial Eats
Serving breakfast on a - proverbial - spaceship, U Venues’ Talkback proves aliens exist, and they make hella’ good food.
While the US government only admitted that aliens do indeed exist sometime around two weeks ago—give or take—we Cairenes have been privy to the fact that they’ve lived amongst us for quite some time now; namely since October 10th, when New Cairo’s Talkback gracefully landed their ship at U Venues.
Serving up all sorts of American diner classics—from traditional breakfast platters (sausage and sunny-side-ups included) and omelettes you can’t go wrong with, to stacks upon stacks of pancakes and breakfast quesadillas—Talkback is the place to go when you want to give your taste buds a taste of abduction (TLC features not included).
Designed to evoke a surreal sense of future nostalgia (thank you, Dua Lipa), Talkback is both an ode to the glorious past of American diners at their zenith and a wide-eyed peek into the future of intergalactic dining. With an interior brimming with pinks, purples, and gradient greens, this U Venues spot sprinkles a touch of cosmic energy onto each classic American dish, because it’s a well-known fact that alien encounters are exclusive to the States—or so says Hollywood.
But it’s not just breakfast being served at Talkback. The futuristic eatery also boasts a menu filled with juicy burgers, creative sandwich concoctions, heavy-on-the-oil appetisers, and a signature tomato soup to wash it all down. ‘Exotic’ focaccia has its own special spot on the menu, though we here at SceneEats are unsure if the exotic aspect of the focaccia includes any foreign biological matter.
So, next time you find yourself yearning for a blast to the…future? You might just head out to U Venues’ Talkback and try your luck at a UFO sighting—and pancakes.
