9 Best Spooktacular Halloween Experiences in Dubai

If you’re going to be spooked by regular events that occur on a daily basis, like having to set a boundary with that one coworker or telling the waiter they got your order wrong, you might as well indulge in a celebratory scare - that is to say, Halloween.

As the holiday approaches, we’ve come across a diverse number of celebration options that tempt our spooky senses. Now that conventionality is entirely out the window, generally speaking, we’re being led to explore new breadths to the definition of ‘Halloween’. What we thought was a fairly straightforward holiday has turned out to be a much more complex affair. The question now is, what to do and where to go…?

This curated list of Dubai’s spookiest experiences is our attempt to make things a little less scary for you…

LONDON SOCIAL GRAVEYARD BRUNCH

Ritz-Carlton, Dubai
On October 31st, the Ritz-Carlton’s London Social Garden will take on a more dramatic hue with a frightening graveyard brunch, where you can put your spookiest costumes to the test whilst enjoying a delicious array of meticulously crafted spooky treats.

FRIGHT NIGHTS

IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai
Every October, IMG Worlds of Adventure is transformed from a regular theme park to a dedicated spook land in celebration of Halloween. This year, it’s going to present a world beyond the apocalypse, where everyone is a zombie.

BLUEWATERS TRICK-OR-TREAT TRAIL

Bluewaters, Dubai
Ever been curious about what it would be like to traverse the expanse that is Bluewaters Island? Well, your chance is finally here – in the form of an elaborate trick-or-treat trail across the island. It’s spooky, it’s mostly virtual and you get treats. What more could you need?

WAVEHOUSE’S HAUNTED HOUSE

Atlantis The Palm Hotel, Dubai
In celebration of the spookiest weekend of the year, the waves of Atlantis’ Wavehouse have left the premises to make room for unending terror. What looms most terrifying about it, though, is that this party doubles as a costume contest, which means it’s about time you got sewing (or tailoring [or shopping]).

FRIGHT NIGHTS AT MOTIONGATE

Motiongate, Dubai
This year, Motiongate is committing itself to the pursuit of actual genuine horror, with weeks of horror-themed shows, spooky maze activities and elaborate costume-offs. It’s fun for both families and young groups.

HALLOWEEN HAUNTED SHIP

Queen Elizabeth 2 Cruise, Mina Rashid, Dubai
There’s truly nothing eerier than a gigantic cruise ship haunted by the bloody legacy of a British monarch - except for when the cruise ship in question dons its sinister costume for Halloween. Prepare for ghost stories.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION

Trader Vic’s Madinat, Dubai
Why have a conventional, traditional Halloween when you can have a Halloween with a twist? Trader Vic’s is celebrating with a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) party, where live music doesn’t stop, on-theme face painting is available and spooktacular fun reigns supreme.

LORD VAMPYRE’S MONSTER PARTY

Legoland, Dubai
This activity is, we’re sad to admit, more child-focused. At Lord Vampyre’s Monster Party, your little gremlins will be able to celebrate their holiday to the fullest in an entirely Halloween-themed theme park made out of Lego bricks.

MONSTER SLEEPOVER AT LEGOLAND®

Legoland Hotel, Dubai
What’s a Monster Party without a Monster Sleepover? Instead of leaving Lord Vampyre’s Monster Party at 4 AM and having to tread the walk of shame to your abode, you can indulge in Lego’s Monster Sleepover. Instead of the walk of shame, take a stroll down their Brick-or-Treat Trail, where fun surprises await curious wanderers.
