SODIC Unveils Nobu Hotel & Restaurant in Egypt’s New Cairo
SODIC’s third development with Nobu will house the country’s first Nobu Restaurant, set to open at EDNC by early 2025.
When the cross-continental partnership between leading Egyptian developer, SODIC, and prestigious lifestyle brand, Nobu, was announced less than a year ago, it seemed to solidify the general belief that the country’s rising real estate scene was, indeed, reaching new heights.
The unveiling of Nobu Hotel, Restaurant, and Residences in both West Cairo and North Coast Egypt was exciting enough, yet, proving it still had more up its sleeve, SODIC recently announced plans for a third joint venture, Nobu Hotel and Restaurant East Cairo – a real estate (and culinary) testament that all luxurious things come in threes.
Expected to grace the streets of New Cairo early next year, this latest addition to the SODIC-Nobu development portfolio will take up residence in the newly developed Eastown District New Cairo (EDNC), SODIC’s flagship commercial and retail destination, situated right on Road 90, the central axis of the upscale city area, and with The American University in Cairo as a neighbour.
“Partners mean so much to us, and as such, we are thrilled to further strengthen this growing collaboration with SODIC with our third destination together in Egypt.” Nobu founders Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert DeNiro, and Meir Teper share with #CairoScene. “Egypt provides an ideal setting for Nobu, drawing inspiration from the country’s vibrant atmosphere. It’s going to be truly special.”
In celebration of this thrilling news, a fittingly elegant event was held at Nobu Fifty Seven New York, with Robert De Niro, Chef Nobu and members of the SODIC family in attendance.
“We are very excited to bring Nobu to EDNC in East Cairo, the fastest growing market in Egypt and further expanding on our relationship with Nobu, the world class hospitality brand,” Ayman Amer, General Manager at SODIC, tells #CairoScene. “We look forward to opening the restaurant as soon as early next year. We are proud to be continuing our growth in the luxury market and look forward to delivering a premium experience that further strengthens SODIC’s success and contributes to Egypt’s positioning as a global destination."
Beyond the elevated hospitality experience that is to be expected of SODIC and Nobu both, Nobu Hotel and Restaurant East Cairo will also introduce Cairenes to Nobu’s signature Japanese-Peruvian cuisine for the very first time.
Poised to contribute to the hospitality, real estate and culinary scenes, this partnership between SODIC and Nobu is, naturally, expected to boost Egypt’s growing tourism sector, successfully showcasing Nobu’s strategic plans to expand into a new and rising global destination.
