This Is How Much It’ll Cost You to Take a Flying Taxi
I believe I can fly…to all my meetings, dates, and dinners in under 30 minutes.
The UAE’s vision for futuristic travel is (literally) taking flight as Archer Aviation prepares to launch its electric air taxi service by late 2025.
The cutting-edge Midnight eVTOL aircraft is making a bold but much-needed promise: it will finally (and we cannot stress this enough: finally) ease congestion by offering swift and eco-friendly journeys across Abu Dhabi and beyond.
For short inner-city trips, fares are expected to range between AED 300 and AED 350, allowing you to soar above all the traffic that once broke your back and reach your destination in just 20–30 minutes.
Longer journeys, like the route between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will be priced between AED 800 and AED 1,500, and, we believe, should be taken at least once for the sake of social media.
With speeds of up to 241 km/h, the Midnight aircraft (which, for the sustainability fighters out there, is powered by electricity) can carry four passengers and a pilot, promising to reduce travel times significantly—for instance, a trip from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Emirates Palace will take just 5 to 8 minutes instead of 45 minutes by car.
So, if you’re ever late to work, or you just want to get an extra thirty minutes of sleep, you can always just take a quick flight, and stroll right into the office with some extra cool-guy points in your pocket.
