The Tree Lighting Ceremony

Nothing quite says ‘festive’ like a tree-lighting ceremony – and El Gouna isn’t holding back this year. Continuing its tradition for the third consecutive year, the destination will light Egypt’s tallest Christmas tree: a 22-meter-tall spectacle set to dazzle the community (and visitors from afar) on December 19th. Santa giveaways, live entertainment, Christmas carols by Daisy’s Academy, and a countdown to the tree lighting are all part of the itinerary.

Santa Grotto

At El Gouna Red Sea’s Santa Grotto (Santa’s festive house), children and families are warmly welcomed to meet Santa, take photos, and receive surprises and giveaways.

Diarna Christmas Bazaar
📍 Downtown El Gouna
📅 December 25th-January 2nd | 1PM-12AM

Downtown El Gouna comes alive with the Diarna Christmas Bazaar, hosted by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development. Over 60 local vendors will showcase everything from handmade crafts and accessories to home décor and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Home Alone 2

We promise you – and this is backed by worldwide research and habit – that Christmas, and especially New Year’s, just isn’t as festive without a movie. And nothing quite captures the holiday spirit like an open-air screening of ‘Home Alone 2’, complete with F&B stations.

A festive family day at The Farm awaits, filled with vibrant activities and Christmas-themed moments in a relaxed, nature-filled setting – perfect for families, residents of El Gouna Red Sea (and visitors), and anyone who loves Christmas.

Surprise Christmas Movie

Just when you thought it ended with ‘Home Alone 2’ – guess again. There’s another Christmas movie to keep an eye on, and this one comes as a surprise. Curious? You’ll have to attend to find out. Don’t worry though – bean bags, floor seating, drinks, and snacks are all part of the plan, setting the scene for a festive, cozy film night that feels just like watching from home.
