AI & Digital Projects Planned to Modernise UAE Defence Systems

A package of artificial intelligence and digital transformation projects is set to be rolled out across the defence sector to modernise operational systems and enhance readiness. The programme, led by the UAE Ministry of Defence, focuses on accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies, improving efficiency and aligning operations with the UAE Digital Transformation Strategy 2031.
Oversight will be handled by the Office of the Assistant Minister of State for Digital Transformation Technology and Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with strategic partners, as part of a broader push to upgrade digital capabilities across defence systems.
Artificial intelligence will be used to support planning, data analysis and decision-making, alongside the development of systems designed to improve resource management and operational coordination.
Officials said the initiative is intended to strengthen the ability to respond to evolving security and technological challenges, both domestically and internationally.
