Algerian Forward Mohamed Belloumi Fires Two Goals Against Chelsea
Hull drew 2-2 against Chelsea, keeping them officially ahead of the Blues.
Mohamed Belloumi turned up when Hull City needed him most.
The Algerian forward scored a brace against Chelsea to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead, before the Blues found a late equaliser to make it 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.
But the draw was still a statement from a Hull side that continues to surprise this season. The two sides went into the match separated by just one point in the table, making this a direct battle for position, and Hull came away still sitting above Chelsea.
For Belloumi, it was a brace on one of the Premier League’s biggest stages. For Hull, another reminder that their unexpected rise is getting harder to ignore.
