Museum of Digital Art Planned for Dubai’s DIFC District
Set within DIFC’s Zabeel District expansion, the Museum of Digital Art will combine exhibitions, education, research, and digital access initiatives.
A new Museum of Digital Art focused on digital art, immersive media, and emerging technologies is set to open within the Dubai International Financial Centre’s Zabeel District expansion. The institution is intended to expand Dubai’s museum and cultural infrastructure while supporting the emirate’s wider creative industries ecosystem. Its announcement coincides with the 20th edition of Art Dubai.
Planned across five floors, the venue will feature immersive exhibitions, interactive experiences, educational programmes, and research initiatives centred on digital and technology-driven artistic practices. The project is being developed by the Dubai International Financial Centre, while Dubai Culture and Arts Authority will oversee operations and long-term cultural strategy.
Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the museum will include permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, educational spaces, and interactive platforms intended to encourage experimentation and interdisciplinary exchange.
Plans for the museum also include the introduction of a digital twin system allowing audiences outside Dubai to access and interact with the institution remotely.
According to officials, the venue will place particular emphasis on developing future-facing digital and creative skills through dedicated learning and training spaces.
