N*RDS & DAL Bring ‘Field Trip’ Festival To Egypt's Countryside Oct 23

Egyptian collective N*RDS has teamed up with cultural space DAL to launch the inaugural edition of ‘Field Trip’ on October 23rd, a new countryside festival built around the simple pleasures of spending a day listening to music, dancing and meeting new people.

Rather than cramming the programme with a relentless run of sets, ‘Field Trip’ is designed to let the day unfold at its own pace, with two stages offering distinctive music experiences, powered by an all-local lineup. At The Grove Stage, DAL invites audiences to slow down and tune in through an attentive listening experience centred on music discovery, with curated sets from Ingy Aziz, Alia Nour, Kamal and Saif. Over at The Yard Stage, the energy shifts towards clubbing, with a roster of local favourites including Ali Youssef, Mira, Hazem, Youla, Mo Ezabyy and more.

Music aside, the festival will also feature a range of activities and workshops for festival-goers to unwind between sets, including a collage workshop with Dai, a suncatcher workshop and a leathercraft workshop with Xnum. Elsewhere, El Sofra will bring together a selection of local vendors, while Tea Kaa’da offers Bedouin tea and a bonfire to gather around. There will also be dedicated wellness and farm areas, giving attendees plenty of ways to take a break from the music and dancing.

‘Field Trip’ takes place at Reef Habashy, a countryside getaway on the outskirts of Cairo. Tickets are available via the link in N*RDS Collective’s Instagram bio.
