New Protocol to Support Child Burn Survivors
The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and Ahl Masr Foundation will cooperate on burn prevention, psychological support and family guidance.
The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and Ahl Masr Foundation are set to sign a cooperation protocol focused on protecting children from burn injuries and supporting young burn survivors.
The planned cooperation will include awareness around burn prevention, psychological support for children recovering from second and third degree burns and guidance for families on how to care for and interact with affected children.
Council head Sahar El Sonbaty outlined the plan during a visit to Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, where she and council ambassadors toured wards and clinics, met paediatric patients and reviewed the medical and psychological services available to them.
The visit formed part of activities marking Children’s Day, with the Council highlighting awareness and family support as key areas for future work with Ahl Masr Foundation.
Foundation Chairwoman Heba El Sewedy said the organisation was ready to expand cooperation with the Council. The visit also included small gifts for child patients and a birthday activity for children whose birthdays coincided with Children’s Day.
