National Council for Childhood & Motherhood Opens Shalateen Branch
The Red Sea branch will expand access to child and family services in one of Egypt’s border communities.
The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood has opened a new branch in Shalateen, Red Sea Governorate, expanding access to services for children and families in one of Egypt’s border areas.
Council President Dr Sahar El Sonbati and Red Sea Deputy Governor Magda Hanna attended the opening. The council said the branch forms part of a broader geographic expansion aimed at reaching children across the country, with particular focus on communities in border governorates.
The Shalateen branch was established in line with Law 182 of 2023, which reorganised the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and allows it to create regional branches. The expansion is intended to bring the council’s programmes and services closer to local communities and strengthen its presence outside Cairo.
