Sharjah Police Add Grenadier 4x4 To Boost Emergency Response

Sharjah Police has introduced the Grenadier 4x4 into its operational fleet to enhance frontline response in challenging terrain and emergencies across the emirate. The vehicle is being deployed to extend access into remote areas and rough ground where conventional patrol cars face limitations, with the aim of reaching incidents more quickly and with greater reliability. The force said the Grenadier’s role is to widen the range of environments in which officers can operate while maintaining safety standards required for field work. The addition comes as part of a broader effort to ensure units can respond wherever assistance is requested, including desert tracks, uneven surfaces and isolated locations that demand dedicated off-road capability. Built for endurance and reliability, the Grenadier is equipped with a powerful engine, four-wheel drive capability and a heavy-duty structure. It is designed to perform in rough conditions and sustain repeated field use. The vehicle also features advanced communication systems and field support equipment to enable coordination between teams during operations. Inside the cabin, safety and comfort features are included to help officers remain focused during long duty hours. These specifications are intended to allow the vehicle to perform tasks that are not feasible for standard patrol units, such as traversing difficult terrain and accessing remote incident sites under pressure. Sharjah Police said the deployment forms part of a strategic partnership with the Arab Gulf Mechanical Centre. The force added that the move aligns with its vision of adopting global best practices and building an integrated, modern security system centred on innovation and community wellbeing.
