Tabuk Emir to Fund 50% of Clinic Setup for Award-Winning Doctors

Tabuk Emir Prince Fahd bin Sultan will cover 50% of the establishment costs of private medical clinics for winners in the medical field of his Scientific Excellence and Distinction Award who choose to launch their own practices.

The commitment was announced during the 39th annual ceremony of the Prince Fahd bin Sultan Award for Scientific Excellence and Distinction.

The initiative is intended to support outstanding Saudi medical professionals as they enter the workforce and encourage them to establish private clinics. Prince Fahd said the Kingdom needs qualified national talent across medicine, engineering and other fields, adding that he hopes to see award recipients working in hospitals and clinics as well as establishing their own businesses. He also linked the initiative to Saudi Vision 2030 and wider efforts to invest in and develop national talent.

During the ceremony, 27 male and female winners were honoured for academic achievement, alongside additional awards for community service and creativity and innovation.

Ibrahim Al-Anazi, Fahd Al-Hujouri and Dr Mubarak Al-Dosari were recognised for community contributions in mental health, integrated healthcare for kidney failure patients, and the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners.

In the creativity and innovation category, Dr Mona Al-Balawi and the ‘Slope Leveling Robot’ project team were recognised for research and technological work. Their projects included smart, sustainable and self-healing coating technologies for infrastructure, road markings and airport runways, as well as electric robotic technology designed to level ski slopes and reduce reliance on human intervention.
