UAE Pilot Enables Digital Attestation of Electronic Documents
The pilot enables users to complete attestation through digital channels, streamlining verification and reducing processing steps.
A pilot phase for the digital attestation of electronic documents has been introduced in the UAE, allowing official verification through online platforms starting April 27th, 2026. The system enables the attestation of documents that include built-in verification features such as QR codes, reference numbers and barcodes, supporting more reliable and streamlined validation processes.
Under the pilot, users can obtain attestation directly through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE missions abroad, using integrated digital channels that consolidate steps previously handled across multiple processes.
Officials said the service is designed to simplify document handling while maintaining traceability, with verification enabled through scannable codes and reference-linked data.
Access to the service is available through the ministry’s official website and smart application, providing a unified interface for submission and processing.
