UAE School Bus Services to Resume With Classroom Return

School bus services across the United Arab Emirates will resume on April 20th, 2026, in line with the nationwide return to in-person learning, according to the Ministry of Education. The decision, made in coordination with local educational authorities, applies to all public and private schools following a temporary suspension of transport services.
The ministry had earlier postponed bus operations for nurseries, kindergartens and schools as a precaution, with distance learning introduced on March 2nd and extended in phases.
Education authorities across individual emirates confirmed aligned timelines. The Sharjah Private Education Authority said transport services will resume in Sharjah on April 20th, while the Ajman Private Education Affairs Office confirmed the same date for private schools in Ajman.
The restart coincides with the return of students, teachers and administrative staff to classrooms nationwide after more than a month of remote learning.
