UN Public Service Award Recognises Saudi Data & AI Platforms
The National Data Bank and Estishraf platform were selected from more than 700 initiatives worldwide.
The National Data Bank and Estishraf platform have been recognised with the 2026 United Nations Public Service Award, following a competition involving more than 700 initiatives from 62 countries.
The award, the United Nations' highest recognition for excellence and innovation in the public sector, honours government initiatives that demonstrate significant impact in improving public services, operational efficiency and service delivery.
The recognition was awarded to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority's National Data Bank and Estishraf platform, with the official ceremony scheduled to take place on June 25th during the United Nations Public Service Forum in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The National Data Bank serves as a national platform for improving data quality and enabling data sharing across government entities. It is designed to support the digital economy, enhance the reliability of digital services and improve data-driven decision-making.
Estishraf uses advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence to support policymaking and anticipate future challenges. The platform provides government entities with indicators, analytical insights and predictive models intended to strengthen planning, preparedness and decision-making.
The recognition comes during the Kingdom's Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026.
